On November 8-13, 2024 – International Men’s Meeting
WE INVITE YOU to the INTERNATIONAL MEN’S MEETING in Rome November 8-13, 2024. Gathering takes place at San Giuseppe all’Aurelio parish, Via Giuseppe Marello 5/13.
Meeting starts with an informal introduction Friday November 8. Main time for gathering will be Saturday through Tuesday.
Each day will be split into 2 parts:
Saturday, Monday, Tuesday Mornings (Nov 9/11/12): meetings in language groups and/or visiting holy places in Rome. This time would be planned with leaders of national groups. Group Meeting would take place in parish rooms, but may be arranged at different spots in Rome.
Sunday (Nov 10) we proceed to Angelus Prayer with the Holy Father: nothing more planned for this morning. Entry into Saint Peter’s square at 10 am. Angelus finishes 12:20pm.
Wednesday (Nov 13) we participate in the General Audience with the Pope in Saint Peter’s square. Entry early morning: tickets necessary, and will be provided. Our meeting concludes with this event.
Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (Nov 9-12): Meetings at San Giuseppe all’Aurelio parish in Rome.
Schedule as follows:
2:00 pm – Catered lunch boxes provided in parish area
3:00 pm – Worship time with common prayer
3:15 pm – Sharing period: representatives of groups
4:30 pm – Teaching
5:30 pm – Adoration
6:00 pm – Holy Eucharist
7:00 pm – Testimonies (participants volunteer)
7:30 pm – Catered supper provided. Informal meetings possible until 9:00 pm
Meeting Topic: reference to the Holy Father’s 2025 Jubilee document “Messenger of
Hope”. As Saint Joseph was vital messenger, accepting the mission of father and
protector of God’s Son, we will focus upon bringing hope to our families, parishes, the
Church, and the World.
The main speaker may be Jim Murphy from the USA, who has conducted missionary
and evangelism work in the United States and Mexico for many years. Also, he presided
over the Catholic Charismatic Renewal for several years. He is a man of great humility
and spiritual sensitivity. His testimony should edify all attendees.
Topics may cover:
- THE POWER OF HOPE – An overview of hope: its source and its power in our lives
- LIVING IN HOPE – How do we appropriate and live in hope?
- GIVING HOPE TO OTHERS – How do we share this gift to the world?
- HOPE REALIZED! – A ‘rally cry’ to see our hope fulfilled
Accommodation type Bed & Breakfast: Ordered in the registration form. The first batch is at Villa Letizia Roma, address: Via Diomede Marvasi, 30, 00165 Roma RM, Italy. Price: single room (45 euros/person/night), double room (40 euros/person/night), multi-person room (30 euros/person/night). Accommodation can be arranged independently by indicating this in the form. Once the places at Villa Letizia are exhausted, other facilities will be added.
